MAKAU CORPORATION ANNOUNCES LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM VERSION 4.0
Version 4.0 of the Makau LMS Makes it easier than Ever for Administrators to Track & Distribute Courses
Orem, UT – July 31, 2007 – Today, Makau Corporation, your training partner, announces the Learning Management System (LMS) version 4.0.
Makau’s LMS version 4.0 includes new features including a new role based management system with fully configurable roles and a tree based container system that replaces the old flat partitions. In addition, many existing features were upgraded including LDAP, report handling, course tracking, new course downloads, and an improved end-user interface using web 2.0 technologies.
According to Russ Aspland, Chief Technology Officer with Makau Corporation, the new LMS is flexible and easy to integrate into customer’s normal business processes and work flow.
“Makau believes in meeting our customer’s needs and requests,” said Aspland. “The new 4.0 version of the Makau LMS is much more robust and feature rich. We upgraded from Microsoft to the java platform, the advantage being portability, Java will run on windows or Linux.”
The Makau LMS makes it easy for administrators to distribute courses and track progress as well as stay updated on the most current course offerings. Administrators can manage course assignments and access a wide range of reports all from the convenience of their desks. Similarly, students can easily see which courses they have taken or are required to take and work through them at their own pace. The LMS helps you maintain control of this total e-learning solution:
